According to the details, the special campaign against polio starts today in 10 districts in Punjab, a total of 67 thousand polio workers will participate in this campaign.
In Lahore, 13,000 workers will participate in this campaign, while in Rawalpindi, more than 6,800 workers will be part of the anti-polio campaign.
The head of the program against polio, Kizer Afzal, said regarding the campaign that this campaign is very important, unusual and special for the prevention of the virus.
Khizr Afzal said that external polio virus is reappearing in Punjab and all our efforts are focused on stopping local reproduction of polio.
The head of the polio program said that all district officers should monitor the campaign themselves and make sure that a high level campaign will be conducted.
The commander also said that the quality of the polio vaccine must be maintained, eradication of polio is only possible with effective use of the vaccine.
Hizer Afzal directed the polio campaign workers to follow the polio teams on the entry and exit routes.
The head of the polio program said that special attention must be paid to the security of the polio teams, and the polio teams will not be treated badly.
The 10 districts of the Punjab polio drive include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, while Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Mianwali, Sheikhupura and Ukra will also be part of the campaign.
According to the report, the campaign will be organized in selected union councils in Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Mianwali.
