A second randomization of EVMs was conducted – Monitor Kashmir Achi-News

SRINAGAR, MAY 04: In connection with the smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the second Lot of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Parliamentary Constituency 02-Srinagar was held on Saturday at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, here.

The random process was conducted under the supervision of the Returning Officer, Parliamentary Constituency 02-Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat in the presence of the Candidates and representatives of other Candidates who were contesting from Parliamentary Constituency 02-Srinagar.

Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) of all I8 Assembly Segments of 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Deputy DEO, ETPBS Nodal Officer, and other District Election Authority Officers were also present on the occasion.

During the Second Lot, EVMs including Voting Units, Control Units, and VVPATs were allocated to Polling Stations from each of the 18 Assembly Segments in the 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency comprising 18 Assembly segments from Kanderbal, Srinagar, Budgam (Partly ), and Pulwama and Shopian. (Partly) Areas.

Earlier, the Returning Officer 02-Srinagar PC, Dr Bilal conducted an interaction session with the participants including contesting candidates and representatives of other candidates.

The RO briefed them about the second round of Gaming in the Lok Sabha Constituency ensuring their confidence in the integrity of the process and urging that all necessary measures have been implemented to maintain the sanctity of the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner as in as per Election Commission of India guidelines.

The RO added that the EVM Platform facilitated by dedicated software was conducted to ensure transparent, free and fair elections without human intervention.

The second round of the randomization process was video recorded as per the set guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
