Ripore in the capital’s Tarun Nagar, a sanitation worker died after being crushed under the hydraulic trolley of the corporation’s garbage truck. The worker collected garbage from the garbage collection and went to dump it at Kalimata Transmission located at Tarun Nagar.

The sweeper took out plastic and iron from the garbage. Then the driver started the car. Due to this the hydraulic cylinder fell directly on his head. This caused a serious injury to his head. Other people present at the scene took him to the hospital for treatment where the doctors pronounced him dead. The Civil Lines Police is yet to register an FIR against the driver. According to the police, on Wednesday afternoon the sweeper Matilesh Nishad and a driver left for the broadcasting center after collecting garbage in the corporation’s garbage collection vehicle.
During this period, Mithilesh Nishad, a resident of Mandar, started taking out iron and plastic from the garbage. The driver was not aware of this. As soon as he started the car, the hydraulics fell and Mithilesh Nishad was trapped in it. Because of this his head was crushed. Hearing Mithilesh’s voice, people present nearby, including the driver, came near the car. People immediately pulled him and took him to a private hospital when he was unconscious, but from there he was taken to the district hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead after an examination.
