City Correspondent A fire broke out in a pig farm at Shivrajpur village in the Bodhgaya Magadh University Police Station area late on Saturday night. In a short time the fire took on a huge form and engulfed 20 to 22 pigs that lived on the farm. The pig farm belongs to Virendra Manji, a resident of the same village. According to the information received, fireworks were set off by the wedding processions passing through the village around 01:00 on Saturday-Sunday night. From them some sparks of fire fell on the pig farm. When huge flames started rising from the farm and the sound of the pigs’ screams started to echo, the nearby villagers got up and started shouting after seeing the fire. Hearing the sound, Virendra Manji also got up and along with the villagers started trying to control the fire. Meanwhile, the villagers called the fire brigade which is in Bodgaya. The fire brigade made many efforts to put out the fire. But the fire destroyed the goods and the pigs in the pig farm. Police and administration officers, who arrived at the scene after receiving information about the accident, promised Ashok financial assistance. Virendra Manji said the whole family slept at home last night. Late at night, a sudden fire broke out in the cattle shed. At the same time, the flames spread due to the strong wind and surrounded the entire cattle barn. The fire was brought under control with the help of nearby people. By then 22 pigs had died due to fire.
