Islamabad (Trade Desk) The majority of Pakistanis condemned tax evasion as wrong while 84 percent supported paying taxes.
Gallup Pakistan released a new poll based on public opinion, asking questions about whether or not to pay taxes and avoid tax.
According to the results of the survey, 84 percent of Pakistanis are in favor of paying taxes and they described tax evasion as something wrong and very harmful to the country’s economy.

In the survey, 11 percent of Pakistanis supported tax evasion and justified such a practice.
In a Gallup survey, 2 percent of Pakistanis took a neutral stance on not paying taxes even if given the opportunity, neither supporting nor opposing taxation openly.
