Police said that around 9:05 a.m. on Friday, April 19, a home in North Millers Dale was broken into and jewelry was taken.
The force is now asking anyone who was in the area at the time, who has information, to come forward.
The police added that they are interested in knowing if any vehicles or people were seen acting suspiciously on the road on Friday.
The force spokeswoman said: “We are making inquiries and will be in the field to conduct targeted patrols.
“As part of our ongoing investigation, we would like to hear from anyone who has information that may assist our inquiries.
“Did you see any suspicious activity in North Millers Dale or the surrounding area between 9am and 9.30am on Friday morning?
“Did you see anyone, or any vehicles, that looked suspicious?
“Perhaps you live in the surrounding area and have ringing bell footage or CCTV footage, or perhaps you were driving at the time stated and have a dash cam that may have caught something?
“Anyone who has information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 44240163658.”
