When the facts of the husband’s torture became clear during the investigation of the case, the police registered a case under Section 304 (b) and arrested the accused husband. The police said that Reena Sahu (22 years), a resident of Ganda Dabri, committed suicide by drinking phenyl about two years ago on June 16, 2022. At that time, a path was determined in the matter and this was taken into account. During the investigation, it became clear that the husband of the late Reena Sahu, Chaitram Sahu, used to drink alcohol, abuse, beat and harass her with the demand of dowry. Tired of this harassment, the newly married woman had to commit suicide by drinking phenyl. On this, the Mohan Nagar police registered a crime and arrested the accused husband Chaitaram.
