New Delhi, May 7: The third round of voting has been completed across the country. The third phase of the Lok Sabha polls was completed on Tuesday out of a total of seven phases. In the third stage, fewer votes were received than in the first two stages. 60.6 percent of the vote in the third round. On Tuesday, the polls were held in 93 constituencies in 10 states throughout the country. These include 25 seats in Gujarat, 14 in Karnataka, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, 9 in Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 5 in Bihar, 4 in West Bengal, 4 in Assam and 2 in Goa.

Heavy weight candidates competed for several seats in the third phase of the elections. From Union Minister Amit Shah to Prahlad Joshi and Jyotiraditya Scindia, Digvijay Singh of the Congress, Supriya Sola of the NCP(SP) and Goma Yadav of the Samajwadi Party contested the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote in Ahmedabad this morning. In addition, Amit Shah, Congress President Malikarjun Kharj, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also voted.
