It is worth noting that in the late evening of Tuesday 21st May, Minister Yadav, a resident of Pecheri Para, went by Aktiva with his colleague Balram Yadav to the liquor store located at Ganjapara Chowk, a short distance from the Kotwali Police Station. He was about to take the drinks and head towards Nadi Road when suddenly unknown persons with a cloth tied over their mouths blocked the road and attacked the minister with a knife.
After the attack, he ran injured for a distance of 350 meters and fell unconscious outside the store. After a long time, the Kotwali police got the information and admitted him in a critical condition to the district hospital. where he died during treatment.
After the event, a large number of the late minister’s family members as well as department and company personnel arrived at the district hospital and the morgue. Until the late hours of the night, their crowd remained at the police station in Kotwali, the hospital premises and the mortuary. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the police’s crime team also became active and began tracking the accused.
