A strong westerly wind wreaked havoc in Bikram on Thursday afternoon. About 800 bights of wheat and rabi crops were burnt to ashes due to the fire and the farmers could not do anything. The crop loss in this fire is estimated at 1.5 million rupees. The flames were so strong that they did not allow anyone to approach within 500 meters. There is a state of mourning in the villages of Morivan, Dathiana, Shivgar, Hurita, etc. of the block. The flames are said to have started from Badhar of Bikandarpur Bihta village on Thursday afternoon.
Due to strong wind the fire spread so fast that it could not be controlled.
