Islamabad (Newsdesk) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to impose fax tax on beauty parlors and marriage halls, the fax sales tax will be collected by services, while those who pay by credit card in restaurants and hotels will be raise 13 per cent instead of 15 per cent The percentage will be taxed.

According to a spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority, the decision to impose fixed taxes instead of a percentage on beauty parlors and wedding halls across the province states that wedding halls and beauty parlors will submit monthly taxes to KPRA at their discretion system.

According to the decision, marriage halls and beauty parlors will be divided into different categories based on the size and scale of their business, to which different fixed rates of sales tax on services will apply.

Advisor on Finance Muzamil Aslam said that the decision will be implemented after taking all stakeholders into confidence, but after the decision, if any business person or organization is found to be involved in tax evasion, strict legal action will be taken take them

Credit card payments in restaurants and hotels will be taxed at 13 per cent instead of 15 per cent. For all these measures, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sales Tax on Services Act 2022 will be amended.
