An early morning collision on Highway 15 is causing traffic north of Montreal, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The incident happened at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday on the northbound Jadoun-Oimet bridge, which links Laval to Boisbriand.
“The driver went out to change a tire,” said Elizabeth Marquis-Guy, spokeswoman for the SQ. “A van hit him before he left the scene.”
The victim is a man in his 30s.
“He was found unconscious, but we cannot confirm if he is dead,” Marquis-Guy said.
Two of the three northbound lanes on the bridge remained closed to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
