Police in Scotland confirmed that the body was found in the water near the George V Bridge.
It comes after The Glasgow Times earlier reported that police, fire crews and an ambulance were all pictured in the river this morning.

Officers later confirmed they were called just before 10am following reports of a body being spotted in the river.
Areas of the footpath on either side of the water were blocked off and Treadstone Bridge, also known as the Squiggly Bridge, was also taped off.
A spokesman for the force said: “At around 4.05pm on Saturday, April 27, a man’s body was recovered from the Clyde near George V Bridge.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the fiscal attorney.”
