Weller Development Association president Kan Singh Chauhan said the forest department had received information about the bear’s entry into the populated area. The villagers demanded to rescue the bear as soon as possible and release it in another forest. Chouhan said that the bear was seen wandering the streets and neighborhoods of the village from 10 o’clock at night. In the summer season people sleep outside their houses and children play in the streets.
A bear was saved even 5 years ago
The villagers said that even five years ago there was a fear of bears in the village. On which the forest department caught the bear and released it safely in another forest. Temple priest Sharwan Mali said that for the past three months, the bear has been seen roaming the streets including the Mamaji temple in the village as soon as the evening falls.
