A Falkad health official said the 90-year-old woman was found dead in a ditch in Alpoli village on Sunday. In the post-mortem, burn marks were found on his body which confirmed heatstroke.

People are advised not to leave the house between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m

The meteorological department has issued a maximum temperature warning in 12 districts of Kerala for the next five days. In light of the scorching heat, the Department of Women and Child Development has decided to close the Kindergarten activities in Anganwadis for a week. State government officials advised people not to leave their homes between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. According to IMD, there is a possibility of heat waves in some areas of Kollam, Palakkad and Thrissur.

Bangalore is also scorching hot

At the same time, Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, is also not going to get a respite from the heat in the coming days. The maximum temperature recorded in Bengaluru city on Sunday was 38.5 degrees Celsius. Meteorological Center Director CP Patil said that on April 27, the temperature in Bengaluru city reached 37.4 degrees Celsius, which is about 3.3 degrees Celsius less than the normal maximum temperature. The maximum temperature of this year was recorded on April 25, 2016.

Red alert in Bengal and Odisha

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the hot and humid weather, the maximum day temperature is expected to increase further in Bengal and Odisha. Regarding the intensifying heat and heat wave, Soma San Roy, senior scientist of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), said, “Odisha is also facing worsening conditions due to the heat wave. Similar conditions are going to remain here for a few days. Hence a red alert has been issued.

The temperature crosses 40 degrees Celsius in these places

There are many places whose temperature reached more than 40 degrees Celsius. Panagarh in Paschim Bardhaman district on Saturday recorded West Bengal’s maximum temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius, while Kolkata recorded the day’s maximum temperature of 41.1 degrees Celsius. Not only that, it’s 43.5 in Madinipur, 43.2 in Bankura, 43.2 in Barrackpore, 43 in Bardhaman, 42.5 in Asansol, 42.7 in Purulia and 42 degrees Celsius in Sarniktan.

Delhi-NCR weather will be like this

Residents of Delhi-NCR got some respite from the scorching heat after the rain on Friday. On Saturday, the maximum temperature in the capital dropped from 40.5 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius. The IMD forecast predicts partly cloudy skies during the weekend. However, it has been reported that by Monday the maximum temperature will again cross 40 degrees Celsius.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality has improved slightly and its Air Quality Index (AQI) has been recorded at 163 which is placed in the ‘moderate’ category.

Alert for Uttar Pradesh

The meteorological department has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern parts. Here too people may remain disturbed due to a heat wave.
