After nomination papers have been scrutinized and withdrawn, it is decided how many candidates are competing in which areas.

A total of 65 candidates have filed nomination papers in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in Jharkhand. A maximum of 21 candidates have been nominated in Singhbhum and a minimum of 11 candidates have been nominated in Palamu. 16 candidates have filed their nomination in Khunti and 17 in Lohardaga. Nomination forms for the four seats were to be filed by Thursday. Nomination papers will be examined on the 26th, and nomination papers can be withdrawn until 29 April. After nomination papers are scrutinized and withdrawn, it is decided how many candidates are competing in which areas.

Of these four, Singhbhum, Khunti and Lohardaga seats are for ST,
