The London-Singapore flight descended more than 1,800 meters (6,000 feet) in just five minutes, while over the Andaman Sea in strong turbulence due to stormy weather. Singapore Airlines expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. They also said that, “We are working hand in hand with the local authorities in Thailand to provide the necessary medical assistance. We have even sent a team to the bank to provide additional support.”
