Six candidates filed nomination papers on Saturday, the fifth day of nominations for the sixth phase of the elections to the Valmikingar and West Champaran Lok Sabha seats. According to the information received from the District Election Office, Madan Mohan Tiwari has filed his nomination papers before the Election Officer Honorable District Judge Dinesh Kumar Rai as a candidate of the Indian Alliance Party (Indian National Congress) for the West Champaran Lok Sabha seat. Many party leaders were also present during his appointment.
