Three people are dead after being stabbed in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood on Tuesday evening.
The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) said they received several 911 calls at 7:00 p.m. about a fight between several people in an alley on Rachel Street between Saint-André and Mantana streets.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found three male victims “injured by a sharp object”.
They were sent to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The victims were 15, 23 and 25 years old.
The police said that the suspect or suspects fled the scene before the officers arrived.
“According to the first information, it is a conflict that broke out between several people in the alley and then the three victims were injured,” said Caroline Cheverfils, spokeswoman for the Montreal police.
Witnesses met with police, who are reviewing surveillance footage as they gather evidence of the attack.
