A total of 12 candidates, including Congress candidate Yashaswini Sahay, bought nomination papers on Tuesday, the second day after the release of the notification for the Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency. A total of 20 nomination papers have been sold so far. Apart from the Congress candidate, independents Kameshwar Prasad Sao, Arshad Ayub, Praveenchandra Mahato, Devendra Nath Mahato, Koleshwar Mahato, Nipu Singh of Rashtriya Jan Sangharsh Party, Praveen Kachhap of Sampoorna Bharat Kranti Party, Soma Singh of Jai Mahabharat Republic Party, Jai Mahabharat Republican Party of India Ranjana Giri, Birendranath Manjhi of Abu Jharkhand Party, Vinod Oraon of Bahujan Mukti Party bought nomination papers. Here, security was increased in the Collection in terms of nominations. Only four people along with the candidate went to the returning officer’s office and filed their nomination papers.
