The meeting was held after the BJP’s vote share in Uttar Pradesh fell sharply in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. There BJP has reduced to 33 seats from 62 seats in 2019. Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, the highest of SP in the Lok Sabha, and Congress won six seats.

He said that the BJP managed to get the same percentage of votes in 2014 and subsequent elections as in 2024 but overconfidence has threatened our hopes. Keshav Maurya’s statement created a stir!

After Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya called his organization bigger than the government, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav attacked the Uttar Pradesh government. In it he brought a hundred members of parliament and asked the dissidents to form a government in Uttar Pradesh. Yadav has announced the proposal on Twitter, ‘Monsoon proposal: Bring a hundred members of parliament, from the government!’ The opposition speculated that this was a sign of discontent in the BJP over the appointment of Keshav Maurya. Yadav claimed that the BJP’s struggle for power means that it does not think about the people.
