The world’s oldest lipstick has been found in Iran.
According to foreign media, archaeologists say that a small glass-like stone object found in southeastern Iran contains a red material that was used to apply to the lips around 4,000 years ago.
According to foreign media, an analysis of a sample of the lipstick showed that 80 percent of its content is based on deep minerals that give a red color such as hematite.
The researchers hypothesized that the material could have been used for purposes other than cosmetics, but the deep red colour, ingredients and texture of the dibbey suggest it was used on the lips.
