According to sources, now the staff of the central agency NIA has been attacked in Bhoptingar, east of Dinipur. As per the instructions of the Calcutta High Court, the NIA team started the investigation on Saturday. It is claimed that the investigators’ vehicle was vandalized.

The NIA alleged that the two men were assaulted while being taken for questioning. NIA officials went to Bhoptinger to investigate the blast that took place in the area. When the NIA team removed two people from here, it is claimed that at the same time the villagers surrounded the NIA vehicle and attacked the car demanding the release of both of them. During this period, some people also threw stones at the vehicle. According to sources, two NIA officers sustained minor injuries in this attack.

NIA filed a police complaint in this regard. Police said a large contingent of the Central Police Force has been deployed in Bhoptinger. Let us tell you that on 2nd December 2022, a horrific bomb blast took place around 11:00 PM in Nairabila village of Arjun Nagar Gram Panchayat of Bhagwanpur 2 Block of Bhupatinagar Police Station. Trinamool booth president Rajkumar Mana, his brother Dukumar Mana and Vishwajit Gayen were killed in the incident. Upon receiving the information, the police went to the area and registered the case and started an investigation. Later, on the orders of the court, the NIA took over the investigation of the incident. The NIA was attacked when it went to investigate the blast incident on the orders of the court.

West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose on Saturday said regarding the attack on the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials that the matter should be taken seriously. The governor said that “attempts to harass the investigative agencies will not benefit anyone” and the matter must be dealt with seriously. “This is a very serious situation and the matter should be treated with utmost seriousness,” said the Maharaj Bhavan boss. This kind of ‘hooliganism’ must not be allowed. It should be dealt with strictly.”Villagers on Saturday attacked the NIA team that had gone to investigate the 2022 bomb blast case in Bhupatinagar area of ​​West Bengal’s East Madinpur district.
