Anwarul Azim, a member of parliament from Bangladesh who came for treatment in India, was murdered in Kolkata. He was reported to have arrived in West Bengal on May 11 for treatment. After that he suddenly disappeared. His last known location was Sanjiva Gardens in Rajarhat, Kolkata. After receiving the complaint in this regard, the police registered a missing persons case and started an investigation. However, on Wednesday, Bangladesh Home Minister Asdujaman Khan announced that Azim had been killed. Bangladesh police have arrested three people in this case.
Awami League member of parliament Ajmi Ansar, who disappeared in India, was murdered in an apartment in Kolkata, he said. So far it has become clear that his killers are Bangladeshis. They hatched a conspiracy and took the MP’s life.
The minister said Bangladeshi police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of the 56-year-old MP. When questioned about the body, the minister said that he had not yet received information about it. Asdujman said that the reasons behind the murder in this case will soon be revealed. The Indian police is also collecting information in this regard.
