Violent brawl breaks out between USA and Mexico fans standing during CONCACAF final Achi-News

USA and Mexico fans were involved in a violent fist fight during the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League Final at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in the United States.

The USA defeated Mexico 2-0 to win their CONCACAF Nations League for the third time, which is a record for a team in the history of the tournament. Tyler Adams scored a goal for the USA in the 45th minute of the match and Giovanni Reyna extended the winner’s lead by netting a goal in the 63rd minute.

However, during the Final, there was an incident off the field, where USA and Mexico were engaged in a violent fist fight. In a video that went viral on social, a man in a white shirt with a USA flag was cheering for his team when he was smashed in the face by a Mexican fan. Then, the USA fans jumped into battle and the violent confrontation began in the form of a first fight between the two sides.

There was an incident in the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League final between the USA and Mexico. In the 88th minute, play had to be stopped as Pro-Mexico fans were chanting homophobic slurs, prompting the officials to intervene before play resumed.

Play resumed after four and a half minutes and was again halted to six minutes of stoppage time. The game was played until the end in the ninth minute of extra time.

USA manager Gregg Berhalter and the players were heckled by pro-Mexico fans after Giovanni Reyna’s goal extended the winner’s lead to 2-0.
