Long queues, slogans of Jai Mahakal and the joy of seeing their favorite deity… A similar scene was witnessed today at the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, where even after the morning event, more than two lakh devotees continued to worship Baba Mahakal. Got blessings after having darshan. Although all kinds of discussions are going on throughout the day regarding the fire in the Mahakal temple, but the devotees of Baba Mahakal are unique, this incident had no effect on their faith and like every day, even today Devotees came to see Baba Mahakal.

Giving information, Moolchand Junwal, Assistant Administrator Mahakaleshwar Temple said that on the occasion of Holi today, lakhs of devotees from the city as well as different states came to the court of Baba Mahakal to have darshan of Baba Mahakal, because of that Nandi Hall, Karthik Mandapam, Ganesh Mandapam is crowded.Also, only devotees were seen in the entire temple complex.

Mahakal was bathed in cold water

Although this morning’s incident in the temple shocked everyone’s senses, but despite this, the Shringar Aarti, which is performed daily in the temple by the Shri Mahakaleshwar Management Committee, was performed at the scheduled time. Apart from being the festival of Holi, it was also a special day that Baba Mahakal started bathing with cold water from today. Temple priest Pandit Abhishek Sharma Bala Guru said that from Holi festival to Sharad Purnima, Baba Mahakal was taking bath with cold water, which started from today.

What time will Aarti take place?

It is said that from tomorrow 26 March 2024, as per tradition, there will be a change in the aarti time of Lord Jyotirlinga Shri Mahakaleshwar from Chaitra Krishna Pratipada to Ashwin Purnima, where the first Bhasma Aarti will be from 04:00 to 06:00 am, the second Dadyodak Aarti from 04:00 am to 06:00 am 07:00 to 07:45 pm, Third Bhog Aarti from 10:00 to 10:45 am, Fourth Night Puja from 05:00 to 05:45 pm, Fifth Night Aarti from 07:00 to 07:45 pm Shayan Aarti will be from 10:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Bhasma Aarti, evening puja and bed aarti will take place at their scheduled time.

The temple echoed the slogans of Jai Shri Mahakal

After the incident of arson in the sanctum sanctorum of Baba Mahakal this morning, it was believed that there would be a reduction in the number of devotees coming to the temple for a few hours, but that did not happen. Worship and darshan usually took place in the temple, but even after the incident, lakhs of visitors continued to come to the temple, who had darshan of their favorite deity. From early morning to late evening, about two lakh devotees came to have darshan of Baba Mahakal, and because of that, like every day, there was an echo of Jai Shri Mahakal in the temple.
