The University Grants Commission has published a fee refund policy for this session. Under this, if students enrolling in colleges in the 2024-25 session withdraw their names for any reason, they will have to refund the entire fee. As per the instructions issued, all the universities will have to refund the full fees of the students who vacate their seats by September 30, while only Rs 1000 can be deducted in the name of processing fee if they leave their seats until 31 October.

Provisions range from fines to cancellation of recognition for organizations that break the rules. UGC Secretary Prof. Manish Joshi has issued a letter to the states and universities informing them about this. If any educational institution breaks the rules then students or parents can send a complaint directly to the UGC. Along with this, UGC has said that in those institutions where the registration process continues even after October 31, then 100 percent fees of the students who apply will have to be refunded 15 a day before the last date of registration.

The exam will be held on 18th, admit card may be released today

University Grants Commission (UGC) NET, June 2024 city notification slip released. This exam will be held on 18 June. The admit card for this exam to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (UGC) can be released by June 15 or 16. Earlier the exam was conducted in CBT mode, but now it will be in paper-pin mode. For this examination, examination centers have been established in 360 cities of the country including Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Dhanbad. NTA conducts UGC NET exam every year. This exam is held twice a year, the first in June and the second in December.

UGC has instructed the universities, according to the National Education Policy 2020, that the process of registration for fees in universities and colleges should be completely transparent. Students should get all information about courses, admission schedule, university rules, fee structure, fee refund policy, sports facilities, hostel details, location. It is also important to say what the university’s position is. The admission formula that is prepared cannot be changed. Students will also have to provide information about necessary contact numbers, website address, University Ombudsman.

There are two papers in the UGC NET exam – Paper-1 and Paper-2 where Paper-1 contains 50 questions for 100 marks while Paper-2 contains 100 questions for 200 marks. Each question is for two points. However, there is no negative marking in the exam.

The exam will be held in two shifts: NTA UGC NET will be held on June 18 in two shifts for 83 courses. The first shift exam will be held between 9.30 am and 12.30 noon and the second shift exam will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
