Three girls, who were out herding goats in Madhapura on Friday evening, died due to drowning in a pond. The incident took place at Pokaria Bhayar of Chattanama District 8 of Baneshgopal Panchayat in Purini Police Station area. One of the girls who was grazing goats on the banks of the pool slipped and began to drown in the pool. While trying to save each other, one by one all three drowned in deep water.

The deceased have been identified as Leeta Kumari, the 14-year-old daughter of Sunil Mandel.
