The accident took place in Bhawarli village in the Indira Sagar backwater.

In Khandwa, two youths who had gone to take bath in Narmada on Amavasya died due to drowning. Both had gone to take a bath in the Indira Sagar pond near Bhawarli village. There were other companions with him, three people who took a dip. A young man was rescued.

The incident took place around 2 pm in Bhawarli village, Killaud police station area.
