Tension rose in Srikalahasti after a YCP worker tried to attack TDP MLA candidate Bojjala Sudhir Reddy. Sudhir’s followers found a knife in his pocket when a man came to take a selfie video during the campaign. TDP ranks stopped him before he could launch a knife attack. The police identified Munikumar as a YCP employee who tried to attack. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
The TDP ranks point out that YCP is carrying out such attacks because it does not have the guts to face the TDP in the elections. In the backdrop of Bojjala Sudhir Reddy contesting from TDP, there is a tight competition between the two. While Madhusudan Reddy is hoping to get a bigger majority this time than in the last election, TDP is hoping to raise their flag in Srikalahasti this time anyway.
