Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said that for cleanliness as well as protection of air and environment in Indore, No Car Day campaign was launched on September 22 last year. It was successfully done by the conscious citizens of the city. He has appealed to the citizens to use public transport, my bike, e-rickshaw as much as possible on 22nd September. On the occasion of Car Free Day on 22 September, there will be no toll on the city’s BRTS lanes. Municipal Corporation and AICTCL BRTS at Niranjanpur Square, Scheme No. 78, Shalimar Township, Satya Sai Square, Vijay Nagar Square, Rasoma Square, C 21 Mall, MR-9 Square, LI Square, Industry House Square, Guitar Wala Square, Palasia. Along with public transport, My Bike e-rickshaw will be available at the intersection, Geeta Bhawan intersection, Shivaji Vatika intersection, GPO intersection, Nehru Stadium intersection, Naulakha intersection, Bhanwarkuan intersection, Vishnupuri intersection and Rajiv Gandhi intersection.
On the occasion of Car Free Day, various activities will be held on BRTS from 9:00 AM to 12:30 AM in the morning and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the evening at various BRTS locations in the district center and main routes the city.
