Today, as per the instructions of the District Election Officer, a meeting was organized with all the BPOs / BRP / CRP and others in the meeting room of the Collection under the sweep activity aimed at increasing voter participation in the Lok Sabha Elections- 2024, spread the message of ethical voting and election related awareness to the people. And necessary guidelines were given to all the personnel involved. During this, the Deputy Electoral Officer gave detailed information to all the campus ambassadors about the electoral system, the importance of voting and encouraged everyone to participate enthusiastically in the great democracy festival. Also, all campus ambassadors were made to recite the voters’ pledge. It was also said that voters can check if their names and the names of other eligible individuals in their family are registered in the voters list by going to their polling station or through the Voters Helpline App If the person’s name has not been to register in the voters’ list then he can apply on Form 6 to register his name in the voters’ list. Along with this, it was said that for any kind of improvement in the voter list or change of voter card, an application can be made in Form 8. Apart from this, he gave information about the importance of Voter Helpline App, c-VIGIL App and website and other media for identifying fake news. He said he is satisfied by checking through the Voter Helpline App or Voter Service Portal to add, delete, update the name in the voter list or to see your name in the last published voter list. He explained the importance of registering names on the electoral roll. He said it was an important opportunity for us to elect our representatives by exercising our franchise. The main objective of this program is to connect all eligible voters with the electoral process. Concerted efforts are being made to ensure that no voter is left out.
