LAHORE: The federal government and the Punjab government have come face-to-face over the transfer of CCPO Lahore, while a conflict also arose between Pervez Elahi and IG Punjab over filing cases against federal ministers.
Faisal Shahkar appointed as IG Punjab
Hum News said from responsible sources that IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar was against filing cases against federal ministers, but CCPO Lahore Ghulam Muhammad Dogar filed cases on the orders of the provincial government.
According to the responsible sources, IG Punjab has not even registered a case against the policemen responsible for the May 25 incidents.
Responsible sources told Hum News that the federal government had transferred the CCPO to Lahore for filing cases against federal ministers, but Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi had stopped the CCPO from leaving the charge.

According to sources, the services of CCPO Lahore have been withdrawn and they have been ordered to report to the department for registration of cases under the Terrorism Act against the league leaders and federal ministers Mian Javed Latif and Maryam Aurangzeb.
According to sources, PTI Chairman Imran Khan has already asked Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi to change IG Punjab for not registering a case even against the policemen responsible for the May 25 incidents.

According to Hum News, Provincial Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that the federal government is blind to revenge, the federal government cannot remove CCPO Lahore and is not empowered to transfer it. He said he refused to accept any illegal action by the federal government.
