A woman from Saudi Arabia has surpassed Dubai by building the world’s first 3D printed mosque.

According to the Arab media, the businesswoman in Saudi Arabia, Wajanat Abdul Waheed, has completed the construction of the world’s first mosque in the suburbs of Jeddah, which is made with 3D printing technology.

According to media reports, the woman has paid homage to her late husband by building this 3D printed mosque named Abdul Aziz Abdullah Sharbatli.

She has named this 60 thousand square foot mosque after her late husband. In order to build this mosque, they started 3D printing technology from the Chinese technology company Guanli.

According to media reports, unlike traditional constructions, this project was implemented in a very different way, paying special attention to the design of the building to bring comfort to the worshippers.

The specialty of this design is that it will provide more space for worshipers during Friday prayers and Taraweeh prayers at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. The design of the mosque’s entrance doors and external facades reflects the architectural identity and allows natural light to enter.

The 3D printed mosque built by a woman also received the support of the National Housing Company. Government officials and business leaders were also present at the opening ceremony held last week.

It should be noted that Dubai announced last year that by 2025, it will prepare a two-story 21,500 square foot mosque for 600 worshipers using 3D printing techniques.
