The Patna High Court has stopped the process of appointing drivers in the forest department. An answer was requested from the government in this matter. A single bench of Justice Vivek Chaudhary stayed the appointment after hearing the petition filed by 51 applicants.

The appointment process has been frozen until further orders
Advocate Jagannath Singh, who appeared for the applicants, told the court that advertisement number 37/2023 was published for the return of 145 drivers in the forest department. In column 6 there is a provision that the drivers appointed on the contract will be given a weightage of 25 points, but this did not happen. The result was released without weighting.
Verification of successful candidates is scheduled for September 30 and October 1, 2024. Currently, the court has stayed the appointment process until further orders.
