The prosecutor of the SAP sent to the court an indictment against 7 participants of the criminal scheme of selling SE “Ukrspirt” at exorbitant fuel prices, as a result of which the state enterprise suffered losses in the amount of more than 55 million UAH. This was reported by the SAP press service.
As stated in the report, it was determined that the officials of the state factory “Okerspirit” entered into a conspiracy with representatives of private companies and purchased fuel at inflated prices for a reward.
Therefore, according to one of the criminal plans, entrepreneurs produced fuel independently, but sold it at market prices higher than market prices to the state plant as allegedly purchased from manufacturers.
According to another scheme, fuel was purchased directly from a related producer and also sold by SE “Ukrspirt” at inflated prices.
The press service reported that on May 30, 2023, a suspicion of a participant in the program was reported. The actions of three officials of SE “Ukrspirt”, two entrepreneurs and two accountants of private companies are classified as a crime provided for in Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the section establishes punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of seven to twelve years with the denial of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and confiscation of property.
