The opposition protested about the reserved seats, the plan was changed
Peshawar: The venue of opposition parties’ protest against non-swearing of members in certain seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has changed.
In this regard, MPA Legi Subia Shahid said that the protest by the opposition parties will now be held in front of the Peshawar Press Club instead of the Chief Minister’s House.
According to him, after the Friday prayer today, all the women and assembly members who arrive at the reserved places will participate in the protest.
The opposition parties protest against the chairman who did not swear in certain seats, members of all opposition parliamentary parties were invited to participate in the protest.
The protest by the opposition parties was announced by Jamiat Ulema Islam Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the protest will be held after the Friday prayer at 2:00 PM.
Earlier, the district general secretary JUI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Maulana Ataul Haque Darwish said that all the opposition parties of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly would participate in the protest.
Subia Shahid said members of all opposition parties ANP, Muslim League, People’s Party, PTIP and JUI will participate.
The opposition parties said that the Speaker violates the constitution by not summoning the assembly session and not swearing in specific seats.
