In Kishanj, the court of District and Sessions Judge Sanjay Aggarwal on Thursday imposed 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 on the husband accused in the woman’s murder case. Mr Agarwal’s court found the accused husband Tanveer Alam guilty of murdering his wife Chiragonia.

Public prosecutor Satyanarayan Prasad Saha demanded the most severe punishment for the husband who murdered his wife. While senior defense attorney Om Kumar demanded a minimum sentence and said that his family depends on the accused. Therefore a minimum sentence should be given.

It is known that on April 14, 2021, the woman was murdered while demanding a donation and a dowry. Public prosecutor Mr. Saha said that in 2017, Mu Farid, a resident of Dagra in Purnia district, married his daughter Latanvir Alam, a resident of Kodahabari. After one year of marriage, she was harassed and beaten for her dowry. The accused murdered his wife after 4 years of marriage.
