Web Desk: The first lunar eclipse of the current year will occur today, which will not be visible in Pakistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, the lunar eclipse will start today at 9:53am and end at 2:32pm, while the eclipse will reach its peak at 12:12pm. Eclipse will also be visible in Europe, North and East Asia, Australia and Africa, North and South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic and Antarctica.

According to the Meteorological Department, this lunar eclipse is penumbral, when the brightness of the moon fades and the moon is 10% less bright than usual. Penumbral eclipses are usually very difficult to see.
