The father, who had gone to Gandhi Medical College to seek approval to donate organs for his daughter’s kidney transplant at a private hospital in the capital, died of a heart attack. All this happened when the father was conducting the donor verification process for organ donation before the departmental committee of Gandhi Medical College. The doctor, who was part of the departmental committee at the scene, tried to save the life of the patient’s father by giving CPR, but his life could not be saved.
