New York (from Rizwan Abbasi) Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has said that Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s efforts to take Pakistan’s foreign policy in the right direction at the global level are beginning to bear fruit. After 2018, Pakistan continued to suffer global isolation and angered not only Western but Eastern friends as well. Allegations of conspiracy in relation to the US and concerns about CPEC had put Pakistan in trouble internationally, but a positive change was seen as soon as Mian Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister These views were expressed by Information Minister Atta Tarar. Remarkable progress has been made in restoring relations with Pakistan’s important friendly countries. Information Minister Ata Tarar added that the relationship with the IMF has also improved, and that inflation in Pakistan has dropped to single digits. Bloomberg, a leading international financial institution, has also praised Pakistan’s economic policies.
Atta Tarar further said that Pakistan has made tremendous sacrifices in the war against terrorism and now cooperation with friendly countries is increasing. He called Israel responsible for the genocide in Palestine and said that a solution to the Palestinian problem was indispensable for global stability.
Addressing the United Nations Future Summit, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif emphasized the need for debt relief for developing countries and said the dream of world peace will remain incomplete without helping the Palestinian people.
It should be clear that the Pakistani delegation led by Shahbaz Sharif is meeting the world leaders and a new ray of hope has been created for Pakistan at the global level.
