The Election Commission on Friday sent a notice to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlana. The Election Commission sent a notice to Atishi for his statement in which he said he had been approached to join the BJP. The election committee asked for his answer regarding his announcement. The election committee asked the minister to present evidence to support his claim.
The election committee asked Atishi to respond by 5:00 PM on April 6. At an Aam Aadmi Party press conference on Tuesday, Atchi said the Bharatiya Janata Party approached me to join the BJP through a person very close to me.
BJP said it will file a defamation case
BJP complained about this statement of Atishi yesterday i.e. on 4th April. In this statement of Atishi, BJP said that Aam Aadmi Party has sent a legal notice to Atishi that he has been warned to join BJP or go to jail. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said in this regard that they have given legal notice to AAP leader Atishi to give evidence. This time they will have to answer. Virendra Sachdeva said Atishi is lying and her claims are baseless and lying is in the nature of AAP party. The Delhi BJP chief said we gave Atishi time to apologise, but he did not apologise. That is why we will file a defamation lawsuit against him.
