The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in most parts of the state today. A yellow warning for rain has been issued in Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Godda, Sahibganj and Pakur from today till tomorrow.

Heavy rain in 10 areas of the state

There was excessive rain in 10 districts of the state. The best situation is in Dhanbad. Dhanbad should have received 1033.6 mm of rain but has received 1338.3 mm of rain. Garhwa is in second place. There was 1085.9 mm of rain instead of 890.1 mm.

Latehar received 1193.5 mm of rain as against 997.8 mm. Ranchi has received 1174.2 mm of rain so far as against 1008.3 mm. Pakur has the highest rainfall deficit of 51 percent. While Pakur has received only 574 mm of rain. There was 29 percent less rain in Deoghar, 28 percent in Chatra, 27 percent in Sahibganj, 21 percent in Gumla and 16 percent less rain in Lohardaga.
