Assistant Narcotics Control Department officer Sushma said that as per the department’s order, drug shops were checked in Narkatiyaganj in West Champaran. A shortage is found in many drug stores. He said that the investigation was done at Payal Medical Hall in Diolia. No documents of any kind were presented here by the operator. At the same time, the drug store of the emergency hospital located in Diolia was also inspected. Unlicensed shops operated in both places. It is closed in accordance with the instructions of the departments.
He said Bhavani Medical located on Masjid Road is also being investigated. Here, too, documents were required from the operator. He didn’t show the license either. After that this store also closed. A drug control officer said that Dilip Medical Store located on Masjid Road was investigated. Documents not accepted as standard. Apart from this, the team went to Pooja Medical, Ranjit Medical, Drug House, Utsav Medical, but the shutters of all were found closed.
Panic ensued among illegal drug dealers
Drug stores are operating in places like Hospital Road, Purani Bazaar, Nandpur, Shivganj, Main Bazaar etc. of the city.
