‘1.30 crore people got new wings to their dreams’

Srinagar, October 31: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday that the majesty and divinity of the country’s crown jewel has found a new identity in the last four years.

An official spokesperson said in a statement issued here, while addressing the Foundation Day celebrations of J&K UT in Srinagar, the LG said, “In the last 4 years, the majesty and divinity of the crown jewel of the nation has found a new identity and 1,30 crore of people. give new wings to their dreams.”

While congratulating the people of J&K, he shared the growth journey of J&K.

Sinha thanked the people, public representatives, government officials, police and other security forces for their contribution, commitment and dedication to building a peaceful and prosperous J&K.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J&K has achieved its full glory. We have excelled in many fields and built a new J&K in Viksit Bharat,” he said. “An ecosystem, which promoted separatism and terrorism for nearly 70 years, has been successfully dismantled. The age-old ideals of humanism, communal harmony, and peace have been established.”

LG said the agriculture, industry and tourism sectors are showing impressive growth.

“New infrastructure is being built across J&K. This new dynamism is the result of dedication, commitment and hard work of 1.30 crore citizens,” he said.

Sinha highlighted the progressive policies of the administration which had empowered the poor, disadvantaged and weaker sections.

“Ordinary people are at the heart of our development agenda,” he said.

The LG said equitable growth for all, dynamic rural economy, empowerment of youth, women and farmers, transparent, corruption-free administration, and achievement in the social sector to provide quality life is an inspiration to the entire country.

He also released an e-book from the Information and Public Relations Department – ‘4 Saal Bemisaal’ – Taith Trawswendit.

On the occasion, beneficiaries under various government schemes shared their success stories in various sectors.

A documentary by the Information Department on the transformational journey of J&K was also screened on the occasion.

Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Junaid Azim Mattu; Adviser to LG, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar; and GOC 15 Corps, Lt. General Rajiv Ghai was also present on the occasion.
