24-year-old Ali Hussain had gone from Ranchi to Kuwait last month on 27 May 2024 to earn money. He was a resident of Hindpiri, Ranchi. Hussain is laid to rest in Doranda cemetery.
In fact, last Wednesday there was a massive fire in a building in Kuwait, where a total of 45 Indians died. Of these, 23 were from Kerala alone. Ali Hassan was working as a salesman in the building in Kuwait where the fire started. Ali had gone there to his brother.
His brother Adil Hassan also works in Saudi Arabia. Since the news of the accident came, the family members were constantly trying to establish contact. Ali Hasan spoke to no one. His brother later said on the phone that Ali Hasan had died in the accident.
Compensation to the bereaved family from the central and state governments
Ali Hussain’s uncle, Qamaruddin, said Ali was the youngest in the family. He had gone to Kuwait to earn money to better fulfill his family responsibilities. Ali’s father is a laborer and the financial condition of his house is very bad.
Ali’s dependent received a compensation of Rs 5 lakh from the state government. The Central Government has also announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh.
Two people died from Jharkhand
Two people from Jharkhand have also died in the accident in Kuwait. Yesterday the bodies of all were brought from Kuwait to Delhi via Kochi.
The family members were waiting for the body since the accident, but because it was late at night, the body could not reach Ranchi on Friday. Hussain Ali’s body was brought to Ranchi on Saturday morning. Labor Commissioner Sanjeev Besra said that this matter is being continuously monitored. Compensation was also given to the dependents of the deceased.
Praveen Madhav Singh (36), a resident of Dugda New BCCL Colony, Bokaro, also died in this accident. His father Jaiprakash Singh retired from BCCL in August last year. After this his family moved to Varanasi.
45 dead bodies were brought
Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh had gone to Kuwait. He also met those who were injured in the accident there. All 45 dead bodies from India arrived in Kochi by plane. Now the bodies of the dead will be taken to their native villages in different places. The body of Mohammad Ali Hasan is one of these 45.
