The surplus employees of various Coal India subsidiaries including BCCL will be accommodated by transfer from one company to another. The company’s surplus workers will be sent to the company with fewer workers. Passed in the 466th meeting of the Coal India Board held on 5th June

A lump sum grant of Rs 1 lakh is given
The transferred employees will receive a lump sum grant of Rs 1,00,000 as incentive in addition to the transfer benefits as applicable in CIL TA rules. The surplus workforce after transfer will not be eligible for transfer to any subsidiary before a period of 5 years. The effectiveness of the scheme will be reviewed after 2 years. The interpretation of the provisions of this Scheme is reserved for the Director (P&IR), ASC and his interpretation will be final. The Director (P&IR), ASC reserves the right to relax, change, modify or withdraw any provision for the benefit of the Company under written notice.
Which employees can apply
Permanent non-executive employees of the company, employees with a minimum service period of 5 years remaining, can apply under this scheme. This scheme will only apply when transferred against notification/communication from MP&IR Community Infrastructure Levy Headquarters. Subsidiaries will notify their requirement to ASC HQ. Thereafter, the Community Infrastructure Levy HQ, with the approval of the Director (P&IR), ASC, will issue notification regarding the requirement to those Subsidiaries where there is surplus manpower (as per approved MP Budget). The subsidiaries will advertise the notice in question and call for applications from interested employees against the notice. Employees will apply on the basis of an advertisement published by the company in question along with their complete biodata. After receiving the employees’ applications, the supporting companies will scrutinize it.
