New Delhi: How many people can be jailed before Lok Sabha Election? The Supreme Court has said that it is not possible to imprison everyone who has made accusations on social media. DMK had filed a case against a YouTuber for making a derogatory statement against Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. The Supreme Court, which granted bail to the arrested YouTuber, took a class to the DMK.
Sattai has given bail
A bench comprising Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan granted bail to YouTuber A Duraimurugan Sattai. Sattai said there was no evidence to suggest they were abusing freedom of speech.

Addressing senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who represented the state during the hearing, Justice Oka said, “If we start putting all YouTube accusers behind bars before the elections, imagine how many will be jailed?” he said that. The court also did not accept a plea that Sattai should be given a condition not to make derogatory statements while on bail.
Election information
The first phase of the elections will begin on April 19, and the final phase of the 7th phase will be held on June 1. The election results will be out on June 4. Voting for 102 constituencies in the first phase will be on April 19 Voting will be held on April 26 for 89 constituencies in the second phase, 94 constituencies in the third phase, 96 in the fourth phase, 49 in the fifth phase, 57 in the sixth phase and 57 in the seventh phase.
