Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress is facing one major blow after another. Economist Gaurav Vallabh and boxer Vijender Singh are new names on the list, who left the Congress and joined the BJP. Before this, there is a long list of such leaders who left Congress and joined other parties like BJP, Trinamool Congress, SP-BSP. The leaders who fought for the grand old party are now singing the praises of the government and criticizing the Congress and its leadership.

New name in the list Gaurav Vallabh

The same list was also joined by Gaurav Vallabh, who had attacked the BJP for the past few years and now joined it. The reels of Vallabh’s scathing mockery of BJP leaders have often gone viral on social media. However, he resigned from all Congress posts on Thursday morning and said he could not raise anti-Senate slogans. A few hours later he joined the BJP. Let us tell you, Vallabh contested assembly elections in Jharkhand and Rajasthan on behalf of Congress, but he had to face defeat.

Vallabh also shared his resignation letter sent to Mallikarjun Kharge on social media. He said, ‘I didn’t feel comfortable seeing the directionless way the party was moving forward. I cannot raise anti-senate slogans or abuse wealth creators every morning and evening. Therefore, I resign from all positions and initial membership in the party.

These leaders also separated from the party

It is not that only Vallabh left the Congress, but many great leaders parted ways with the party. In fact, before that, Jaiver Shergill, Shehzad Poonawala and Rita Bahuguna Joshi also joined hands with BJP. Shargil joined the BJP in 2022 after spending a decade in the Congress. Poonawalla, another prominent face of the grand old party, hit the headlines in 2017 when he called the Congress organizational elections disgraceful. He later joined the BJP and was appointed its spokesperson. In 2021, he was also appointed in-charge of BJP’s social media wing for the national capital.

Priyanka Chaturvedi was also one such speaker

Joshi, a former Congress spokesperson and Uttar Pradesh Congress chief, joined the BJP in 2016 after the Congress made Sheila Dikshit its chief ministerial face for the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections. Apart from all this, another big name is that of Priyanka Chaturvedi, who joined Shiv Sena in 2019. After the split in Shiv Sena, Chaturvedi joined Shiv Sena UBT.

why did you leave the party

Now the question arises why these people left the party? Whenever a leader left Congress, he blamed dynasty politics. Shargil said he tried to meet the Gandhi family for a year and had to bow down to the people because he was close to the senior leadership. Poonawalla said he was forced to speak out against the politics of the dynasty. Earlier, he had challenged Rahul Gandhi to a televised debate on his vision for the Congress.
