America’s space travel company Space VIP is going to offer a dining experience in space soon. The company has hired Dutch chef Rasmus Munk from a Michelin-starred restaurant to lead a six-hour high-tech space balloon ride. Six people will be selected for this trip, which will have dinner over 99% of the Earth’s atmosphere.

The ticket price for this will be around Rs 4.10 crore. This 6 hour journey will start next year. For this trip, Space VIP will use Space Perspective Company’s spacecraft, Neptune. It will make its first flight from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

It will take 6 hours to reach a place for lunch. The journey will start next year.

Passengers will be able to connect with friends and family from space
According to a Bloomberg report, as soon as the space balloon reaches 1 lakh feet above the sea level, the passengers present in the space balloon will get the WiFi facility. This way they will be able to stream their journey live on social media. Apart from this, they will also be able to connect with their friends and family. Passengers will also have the opportunity to see the sunrise on the Earth’s circumference.

Apart from this, a special lunch will be served to the passengers in the space balloon. Chef Rasmus Munk is preparing a special menu for this. It will be based on a space theme. However, the menu is not yet complete. Chef Rasmus works at the Alchemist Copenhagen restaurant. It has received a Michelin star twice in the last 4 years for its excellent food and convenience.

The spacecraft will also show people the sunrise over the circumference of the Earth.

Test driving will start from next month
Apart from this, this restaurant is number 5 in the list of 50 best restaurants in the world. Although the tickets are expensive, people show interest in registering for the trip within 24 hours of the announcement. Test drives for the Yatra will begin in April 2024.

According to media reports, the Neptune spacecraft being used for the trip is not a rocket. No special training or equipment is required. In this, a capsule is lifted under pressure with the help of a space balloon. NASA has developed this technology.

A French company will also feed food in the stratosphere in 2025
Space VIP is not the first company to offer the opportunity to dine in space. Last year, the French company Gefalto had announced that from 2025, it will give people a chance to eat in a balloon in the stratosphere for around Rs 1.09 crore.
